MEET OUR DENTAL TEAM

Grace started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2001. As a registered Dental Assistant, she wears many different hats throughout the office, including Office Manager as of 2017. One thing that Grace enjoys most about her job is the group of people that she gets to work with every day. She also says that every day is different, which makes it more interesting. Lastly, she appreciates the personal relationships she develops with long-standing patients as well as new ones. Grace enjoys spending time with family and grandkids outside of work. They like to find different trails to bike and hike throughout the State. They enjoy playing games, cards, or any activity outdoors.

Taryn started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2017. She processes insurance claims and insurance pre-estimates. Prior to working at NorthPark Family Dentistry, Taryn worked in Insurance from 2010-2017. Some of the things she enjoys most about her job are working with a great group of people and interacting with patients. Taryn enjoys being with her family outside of work. She loves outdoor activities such as going boating, camping and biking with her husband, son, daughter, family, and friends.

Megan started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2022. Having some previous experience with dental assisting and patient coordinating, she is excited to get back into the field. Working up front, she enjoys getting to meet everyone. Megan is really enjoying her co-workers and how welcoming and friendly they have been. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her kids, fishing, throwing darts, and hanging out with family.

Vanessa started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2022. After graduating from Iowa Central Community College in 2018 she started working for Dr. John H Garton, DDS in Fort Dodge. Some things that Vanessa likes most about her job is connecting with people and teaching them how to maintain good oral health. She says it’s amazing to get to work with such a great team to help her do that. Outside of work, Vanessa likes to spend time with family and friends. Especially her nieces and nephews. She also enjoys music, travel, and spending time outdoors.

Jenna started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2015. She graduated from Dental Hygiene School in 2009. One thing Jenna enjoys most about her job is building relationships with her patients. It brings her so much joy to help patients with their oral health care needs as well as getting to know them as a person. She has had so many patients impact her life in ways they will never know, and she strives every day to do the same for them. Jenna also truly enjoys working with children. It is her absolute favorite part of her job. Giving kids a great experience in a dental office really is the stepping stone to a lifetime of good oral healthcare, and she thinks it is so important to give them confidence and the fun they need to make their appointments positive. There is nothing better than a happy, healthy smile from a child. Jenna feels that we have such a great team and is blessed to work with such a wonderful group of people. Outside of work, Jenna loves spending time with her husband, two boys, friends, and family. She also enjoys running and cheering on the Cyclones. 

Julie started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2000. She began her career working for Dr. Harold Schuchmann and Dr. Steve Gidel in Humboldt in 1988. There are many things that she enjoys about her job. Julie believes she is truly blessed to serve our area communities and see multiple generations of patients. It gives her great joy to build relationships with her patients while overseeing their dental and oral care, as well as their physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual health. She believes all are vital to optimal well-being. Julie is thankful for the doctors and staff at NorthPark Family Dentistry and their commitment to their patients. She believes everyone works hard as a team to create a positive experience and environment for all ages. Outside of work, Julie loves spending time with her husband Bruce, their 3 grown children and grandchildren. She also loves enjoying time in Venice, Florida, fishing in Northern Minnesota, walking the Three Rivers Trail, studying God’s Word, and Women’s Ministry Outreach/event speaking. 

Kathie started at NorthPark Family Dentistry on the day it opened in November of 2000. She graduated from Des Moines Area Community College for Dental Hygiene in 1979 and has been a Dental Hygienist for over 41 years. She began her career out of college working for Dr. Harold Schuchmann and Dr. Steve Gidel (Dr. Ryan Gidel’s Father) in Humboldt. One thing that Kathie enjoys about her job is that it is like taking care of family after this many years! She knows about all of their children and life events. With consistent patients, she has cleaned their teeth over 50 times! Kathie feels that we have a great office and that everyone works well together. Outside of work, Kathie enjoys gardening and thus canning the produce. She is actively involved with church activities and enjoys having her grandchildren close by.

Katie started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2019. Prior to working here, she was a Dental Hygienist at Heritage Creek in Clive in 2011 and then Manson Family Dentistry in 2014. Some things that Katie enjoys most about her job are the friendships with her co-workers and building relationships with patients. Outside of work, Katie loves to camp with her family and play with her son and daughter, as well as dog named Hank.

Jan started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2000 as a registered Dental Assistant. She received on the job training from Dr. Mike Moffitt of Eagle Grove in 1993. Some things Jan enjoys most about her job is interacting with people and never knowing what to expect due to emergencies and the individual needs of each patient. Jan says the competent, caring staff and doctors have made coming to work a pleasure throughout the years. Outside of work, Jan enjoys her husband, family and grandson. Also, riding her mule and deer hunting.

Amanda started at NorthPark Family Dentistry in 2020. As a Dental Assistant, some things Amanda enjoys most about her job is getting to meet new people and that no day is ever the same. She loves that she works with such caring co-workers that feel like family. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys keeping up with her kids’ activities and her growing livestock at the farm. She also loves baking, gardening, and spending time with family.
